This is our first preliminary. Our job was to film a short sequence of events while conforming to the following 10 shots seen in general horror:
1. OFF KILTER
2. OVER THE SHOULDER SHOT OF THE KILLER
3. CLOSE UP ON WEAPON
4. CLOSE UP/EXTREME CLOSE UP OF FEAR
5. 360 DEGREE SHOT TO SHOW ISOLATION/FEAR
6. HIGH ANGLE SHOT TO SHOW VICTIM'S VULNERABILITY
7. LOW ANGLE SHOT TO SHOW THE POWER OF THE KILLER
8. HOW TO STAB SOMEONE WITHOUT HURTING THEM
9. POINT OF VIEW OF VICTIM AND KILLER AS VICTIM CRAWLS AWAY ON THIER BACK AND KILLER APPROACHES
10. THE POWER OF SUGGESTION....
Overall, I believe that we have covered the majority of the shots listed above and to a get quality, especially near the end with the high and low angle shots showing killer dominance. The only shot we really didn't include is the 360 shot but if we were to improve upon this, that 360 shot to show isolation and fear could really spark suspense into the audience and something to consider for the final trailer.
